The Devil does not have a problem with Christianity:
-So long as it does not require absolute surrender to Christ.
-If it focuses on satisfaction instead of sacrifice.
-That is short on grace but long on convention.
-That is eloquent on grace but vague on godliness.
-If it loves the sin in mankind but hates the sinner.
-If its preaching makes the sinner feel good about
himself, instead of spiritually uncomfortable.
-Whose holiness is intellectual rather than practical.
-If its rhetoric is peace, yet it promotes warfare.
-Whose spiritual unity is hypocritically superficial.
-That promises to deliver from eternal damnation,
but does not deal with the power of reigning Sin.
-That avidly reads the Bible mainly for good luck.
-If it re-invents Morality to fit the changing times.
-Whose many prayers are primarily self-serving.
-That is more concerned with political correctness
than Biblical truth and righteousness.
No, in fact, a diluted, compromising, hypocritical, mediocre, and Scripture perverting Christianity has been, and still is, his most effective tool to keep a lost and sinful humanity from coming to a true and complete knowledge of Salvation!
This being the case then, his greatest fear is men and women who are whole-heartedly devoted to Jesus Christ and passionately committed to implicitly obeying his Word. Because these sincerely love their Savior, he hears and answers their prayers. Moreover, their consistent testimony of unconditional love and practicing holiness draws sinners into the Kingdom of God!
Now the question to you and me is, “Will we inadvertently play into Satan’s schemes or will we be an intentional force that frustrates his agenda and demolishes his strongholds?”
